Our

PHILOSOPHY

The sport of mixed martial arts (MMA) incorporates a number of philosophical insights into our everyday lives. Sports popularity, for example, took over ten years before it became mainstream.

This is similar to business and personal growth. Success takes time! Empowering women is an integral part of the sport of MMA.

The advancement of female athletes in the sport of MMA was also criticized. In the interim, however, they became one of the highlights of the sport.

Irrespective of whether you are a fan or not of MMA sports, you can gain a lot of insights from the sport, its athletes, and its competition. Battalia MMA NFTs strives to bridge the gap between MMA and its philosophy through art and media.

Meet

The Artist / Creator
Ken Artuz Battalia MMA

My name is Ken Artuz. I’m a certified physical trainer, certified fitness nutrition specialist, and life coach. I’m also the artist/creator behind Battalia MMA.

After working in the non-profit sector for 22 years, I realized I needed to devote more time to opening my own business. Self-development played a major role in my decision.

A year after earning my Physical Fitness certification, the COVID-19 pandemic struck NYC and with businesses closed, the situation halted my advancement.

After starting my career again, I continued working at a popular franchise gym and became one of the top 15 physical trainers in The Bronx.

To offer foster healthier choices, especially for those who are always on the go, my wife and I invested in opening a line of cold press and herbal energy drinks.

We found success with our line of beverages at flea markets and health fairs during the summer of 2021.

Having the opportunity to help clients improve their health and fitness choices is the most rewarding aspect of my career.

My greatest passion is guiding people through their fitness journeys and giving them experiences that build foundations of confidence, optimism, and strength.

Welcome to Battalia MMA

BATTALIA MMA

Origin Story

Battalia is a lifelong endeavor. I did not grow up with toys or television as a 13-year-old. I relied on my imagination and created storylines and characters for entertainment. The original concept for Battle Brawl was conceived around this time, and it later became a blueprint for Battalia MMA.

I had a love for pro wrestling and it provided the basis of my storyline. In the game, I created a formula based on dice and basic math that determines the outcome of each competition between two or four characters.

Battalia Torn Halo

Battalia: Torn Halo

Released 2008 Written by Ken Artuz, Illustrated by Harsho Mohan Chattoraj

Over the years, I played Battle Brawl intermittently before abandoning the idea altogether. The concept was revisited in the late 1990s, this time in connection with mixed martial arts to highlight my heightened interest in the emerging sport. During this time, I renamed Battle Brawl to Battalia.

Having resurrected my storyline in 2005, I obtained a certificate in field production at Lehman College in the Bronx in 2007.

As a result, I hired Harsho Mohan Chattoraj as a freelance artist and hired local voice actors to play roles from the script, and in 2008 Battalia Torn Halo was broadcast on Bronxnet, a local television station in The Bronx.

2022, Battalia is resurrected in the form of NFTs and a drama podcast with a brand new concept, storyline, and objective.
